Igor Light


Igor Light is a clinical psychotherapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State, National Certified Counselor, and Board Certified Coach in the USA. Igor has been a New York Mental Health Counselors Association member since 2017. 

Igor has an Integrative approach to therapy which primarily blends existential/humanistic and cognitive-behavioral modalities (CBT). He specializes in relationship issues, depression, and anxiety disorders. Igor is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. 


Igor works on developing the Existential Congruence Theory (ECT). Inspired by the Bhakti philosophy, ECT aims to address Existential Discontent as a source of psychological struggles and emphasizes the Congruence Process (alignment between inner selves and the external world around) to fulfill the Core Needs (freedom, wisdom, and love). 


Services Provided



Existential therapy addresses the underlying causes of psychological suffering. It guides a person on the path of self-discovery and growth by exploring and fulfilling the Core Needs, thus eliminating feelings of anxiety, stagnation, isolation, or aimlessness.


Couples Counseling

Couples Counseling helps to resolve interpersonal conflicts and improve relationships, offering a safe space for open communication, fostering deeper emotional intimacy, and strengthening the bond between partners. Pre-marital and marital counseling is available.


Midlife Coaching 

Coaching helps people to achieve meaningful goals by enhancing self-confidence and equipping individuals with valuable skills to overcome obstacles. It provides a structured and supportive environment for clarifying aspirations and improving decision-making abilities. 


Encounter Group

Experience a life-changing journey with the Encounter group. Limited to only six individuals, this transformative four-month program fosters a supportive environment, enabling participants to overcome challenges and embark on a path toward personal growth.
