Existential Holistic Therapy
A non-pathologizing approach to a fulfilling life through authentic presence and harmonious relationships.

Why is Existential Holistic Therapy (EHT) ?
Existential Holistic Therapy (EHT) addresses psychological experience through two integrated dimensions. The existential dimension focuses on core human concerns—authenticity, meaning, choice, responsibility, and how individuals relate to fundamental life conditions like uncertainty, freedom, and mortality.
The holistic dimension treats the person as an integrated system where psychological distress manifests across multiple levels: physical symptoms, emotional patterns, behavioral responses, and relational dynamics. Rather than isolating "mental health problems" from the rest of life, EHT examines how psychological experience emerges within the total context of a person's relationships, bodily state, life circumstances, and ways of engaging with their world.
The therapeutic process supports clients in recognizing how their symptoms reflect attempts to navigate existential challenges, developing more authentic ways of being, and cultivating the interpersonal conditions—validation, recognition, meaningful connection—that allow for psychological growth and wellness.

Igor Light, LMHC
Founder and Developer of Congruent Field Theory and Existential Holistic Therapy.
I developed Existential Holistic Therapy from the conviction that human existence is fundamentally relational. Authenticity and meaning emerge through harmonious interpersonal fields rather than individual development alone.
My approach views psychological distress as unrealized potential within incongruent relationships and focuses on creating the congruent fields necessary for authentic presence, meaningful connection, and personal actualization.
